At the American Security Coalition, our mission has been proven more valuable than ever by the Trump administration. This past week, the Departments of Agriculture and War partnered with a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the National Farm Security Action Plan.

Under development for the past seven months, the plan will modernize reporting on foreign ag investments, launch a reporting portal, designate fertilizer ingredients as critical minerals, and block taxpayer funding of Chinese solar panels. By modernizing reporting requirements, working across agencies, and standardizing terms across the USDA, this administration is taking common-sense steps to protect Americans. The results are already materializing, and Americans are safer for it.

This administration understands that American agriculture plays an essential role in our nation’s security. Steps like this will ensure that American farms, food supplies, and research remain in the hands of American citizens - not foreign adversaries.
